The Centre is a collaborative effort of Lambton College and Suncor Energy Foundation and was established to help advance the ideas and goals of BSI. The physical location of the Centre is located on the campus of Lambton College and was opened on September 26th, 2008. The Mission of the Centre is to promote sustainable development in Sarnia Lambton through innovation and education. With the support of community and industry leaders the Centre for BSI will work collaboratively to:

Educate children, adults and workers on sustainability |

Promote innovation, integration, collaboration and commercialization of |

• Alternative energy, and |
| |
• Environmental control technology |
| iii) |
Promote and enrich our community through encouraging groups such as aboriginals and youth to get involved in community problem solving related to sustainability issues

The Centre has a resource person, computer access & a meeting area for those who want to research and discuss sustainability concepts and most importantly for those who want to help the community become a global leader in sustainability practices and processes.
The Centre promotes the creation of a network to exchange ideas and share resources for community, business and industry sustainability projects. Opportunities to work on areas of mutual interest with organizations such as UWO Research Park, Sarnia/Lambton Economic Partnership, Sarnia/Lambton Environmental Association and local School Boards will be sought.
